What is Thermo-Therapy & How Does it Work?
Thermo-therapy provides a variety of benefits to the whole body. AVACEN thermo-therapy was invented 17 years ago for a family member with migraines and was later FDA-cleared for pain management.
The key is a combination of heat and negative pressure (creating a vacuum) to heat the blood through the palm of your hand. The vacuum is what allows the blood to flow in areas otherwise unaffected. Without the vacuum, the veins would simply constrict to keep heat out, and the blood flow would slow down significantly.
The change in viscosity of the blood is what allows it to flow much faster. Once the warm blood reaches the brain, the hypothalamus is fooled in to believing you’re coming down with a fever, which triggers an immune response.
Additionally, when the blood cells no longer stick together (coagulate), the blood is able to deliver even more oxygen and nutrients, as well as increasing the detoxication rate at the cellular level. When the hand, enclosed in a special patented mitt, is placed inside the vacuum chamber, negative pressure and heat are applied to safely increase the temperature and blood volume flowing through high volume arteriovenous anastomoses (AVAs).
